Almost every time when we got fever, we think that we are sick of Fever already. Don't you know that fever is not a disease? It is a manifestation or symptom of a disease. So watch out specially mothers like me . Analgesics to lower down the body temperature is always available in our house, and just taking that medicine without thinking that behind that fever there is the root of it that we should have to treat before it getting worst.
Well if fever persist after self- medications we have to consult a doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment, especially our children because they cannot describe in details what they really felt.
We can lower down body temperature at home by not taking always analgesics are the following:

  • sponge bath with ice water
  • face towel or any clean cloth soaked in ice water and put over the forehead, or under the axilla
  • drink fruit juices which are rich in vitaminC- to increase resistance against infection
  • Increase fluid intake because it helps to lower down body temperature.
