The British Dietetic Association recommends you check the label on bread for:
***The word "WHOLE" before the first mention of grain or flour in the ingredients list.
***TWO GRAMS OF FIBRE PER SLICE- do look at the serving size as they may be for two slices not one.
***ADDED SEEDS AND NUTS-even though the fat and calorie content will increase , seeds and nuts provide phytochemicals, which help fight disease.
