MEASUREMENT CONVERSIONS

I intended to post this because in my experience , I always got a confusion, everytime I cook especially using foreign recipe books. When I start cooking , I used to just put ingredients according to my own calculation and taste. But what if the one whom to serve and eat what I cook? Like my son , who is perfectionist that a bit of excess can taste it.
